It's a Post

Let's see what could I possibly post on here today that would get as much feedback as the cheating question?

Hmmmmm.

This was a comment from an earlier post. Your thoughts?

"No matter how hot the dude/chick is, there is some person out there that is tired of screwing them."

btw, I still don't know who George is.

9 Years

Nine years ago today, I had my first baby.

Wow. I can't believe he's 9. Seems like just yesterday he was taking his first steps. Now he's playing tackle football and breaking bones.

What I wouldn't give to go back for just a moment and hold that tiny baby in my arms and rock him to sleep. It goes so fast.

Happy Birthday Baby.

MY WISH
Rascall Flats

I hope that the days come easy and the moments pass slow,
And each road leads you where you want to go,
And if you're faced with a choice, and you have to choose,
I hope you choose the one that means the most to you.
And if one door opens to another door closed,
I hope you keep on walkin' till you find the window,
If it's cold outside, show the world the warmth of your smile,
But more than anything, more than anything,

My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to,
Your dreams stay big, and your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more than you can hold,
And while you're out there getting where you're getting to,
I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too,
Yeah, this, is my wish.

I hope you never look back, but ya never forget,
All the ones who love you, in the place you left,
I hope you always forgive, and you never regret,
And you help somebody every chance you get,
Oh, you find God's grace, in every mistake,
And you always give more than you take.
But more than anything, yeah, and more than anything,

My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to,
Your dreams stay big, and your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more than you can hold,
And while you're out there getting where you're getting to,
I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too,
Yeah, this, is my wish.
This is my wish
I hope you know somebody loves you
May all your dreams stay big

Old Dog....not happenin' on the new tricks

So this guy sends me a text early Saturday morning and basically says he is watching the sunrise while wishing I was with him. Blah, blah, blah, more mushy texts along the lines of “You’re very special to me, I’m thankful I met you, you’d be the one to change my life if you’d give me a chance, I love you..yada yada yada”

This guy has cheated on every person he’s ever been with.

Before y’all start with “Once a cheater, always a Cheater” ……..I know this. I’m not falling for this load of bs. Can’t teach an old dog new tricks…I’m a firm believer in that. The tendency will always be there. Futhermore, even putting his infidelity issues aside, I’m not remotely interested.

I’m letting my friend read the texts yesterday at work and she says, “You know, I honestly believe him, if you’d show any ounce of interest he’d straighten up”

I don’t believe it. Sure I believe that I’m different from his usual girlfriends but even if I was to hit my head, get amnesia and decide I like him…….it would only be a matter of time before he’d be going back to his old routine.

I wonder though if he really believes I’d change him. I mean this has been going on 4 -5 years now so it’s a little more drawn out than the normal conquest in the guy’s mind.

Early Monday Post...busy morning tomorrow

Nicholas Sparks is one of my favorite authors. I just finished reading The Choice.

It asked the question,

"How far would you go in the name of Love?"

I couldn't answer that.

Can you?

How Far
Martina Mcbride

There's a boat, I could sail away
There's the sky, I could catch a plane
There's a train, there's the tracks
I could leave and I could choose to not come back
Oh never come back

There you are, giving up the fight
Here I am begging you to try
Talk to me, let me in
But you just put your wall back up again
Oh when's it gonna end

How far do I have to go to make you understand
I wanna make this work so much it hurts, but I just can't
Keep on giving, go on living with the way things are
So I'm gonna walk away
And it's up to you to say how far
There's a chance I could change my mind
But I won't, not till you decide
What you want, what you need
Do you even care if I stay or leave
Oh, what's it gonna be

Out of this chair, or just across the room
Halfway down the block or halfway to the moon
How far do I have to go to make you understand
I wanna make this work so much it hurts, but I just can't
Keep on giving, go on living with the way things are
So I'm gonna walk away
And it's up to you to say
YeahI'm gonna walk away
And it's up to you to say how far

Friday Song

Lips of An Angel
Hinder

Honey why you calling me so late?

It's kinda hard to talk right now.

Honey why are you crying?

Is everything okay?

I gotta whisper cause I can't be too loud

Well, my girl's in the next room

Sometimes I wish she was youI guess we never really moved on

It's really good to hear your voice saying my name

It sounds so sweet

Coming from the lips of an angel

Hearing those words it makes me weak

And I never wanna say goodbye

But girl you make it hard to be faithful

With the lips of an angel

It's funny that you're calling me tonight

And, yes, I've dreamt of you too

And does he know you're talking to me

Will it start a fight

No I don't think she has a clue

Well my girl's in the next room

Sometimes I wish she was youI guess we never really moved on

It's really good to hear your voice saying my name

It sounds so sweet

Coming from the lips of an angel

Hearing those words it makes me weak

And I never wanna say goodbye

But girl you make it hard to be faithful

With the lips of an angel

It's really good to hear your voice saying my name

It sounds so sweet

Coming from the lips of an angel

Hearing those words it makes me weak

And I never wanna say goodbye

But girl you make it hard to be faithful

With the lips of an angel

And I never wanna say goodbye

But girl you make it hard to be faithful

With the lips of an angel

Honey why you calling me so late?

Ramblin's

Halloween is on a Friday this year.

I’m ready for the new season of Gray’s to start.

I heard from Robyn. She says hello.

Do y'all remember the Goose? Well he has a daughter the same age as my youngest.....Andrew got a note sent home yesterday for kissing his little girl on the arm........... Fantastic.

When I don’t know what to say
Don’t know what to do
Don’t know if it really even matters to you
How can I make you see
It matters to me

I need a new outfit for the 27th and I need a new outfit for Keeneland.

I’m craving Red Lobster

I had to buy 4 new tires. BOO

So a trap was set for the raccoons. A wildlife expert (aka friend of my dad's) came over and set the trap. Apparently in his profession of 31 years he has learned that raccoons enjoy marshmallows, peanut butter and jelly. Whodathunkit? Anywho....trap set. marshmallows scattered on ground......

4 am. Here scratching and cage rattling. At first I think it's Baxter playing in his kennel. NOPE!!

Baxter raises his little precious head off his pillow (in my bed)...yawns, and looks around. It's not Baxter.

Cage rattles more. Getting louder.

Then it hits me about the time Baxter stands, stretches, and hops down to go investigate the noise from the window.

AHHHH........yes the trap.

Newsflash peeps, once in a trap...those animals do not just give up, lay down and sleep. OH HELL NO....they hiss, they squeal, they scrape, they rattle........

So to sum up. I've been awake since 4 because of the wildlife in my yard.

I did venture out before I left for work to peek at it.....even if it's in a cage I have this fear that's it's just waiting to attack the first person it sees.....

It's not a raccoon.

It's a freakin' pissed off opossum in a cage under my bedroom window.

Great.

The dang raccoons are still out there.

Probably laughing at me.

My Purse

1. Dump the contents of your purse in a pile

2. Take a photo of your purse and the contents

3. Be brave and 'splain to your fellow bloggers what lurks inside the purse.

4. Tag others who might want to embarrass themselves

5. Answer these questions:

Describe the contents of your purse.

What's the most important thing in your purse?

What's the most embarrassing thing in your purse?

What's the smallest thing in your purse?

Is there anything illegal in your purse?

Yeah so ok....took 2 pictures to capture it all. Somewhere in this mess is...in no particular order:

Birth control pills
2 excerdin bottles
a toy spiderman
2008 kindergarten graduation tassel
2 different football schedules
wallet
checkbook
extra checks
a medical bill for Brady
Ipod
whoopie cushion
hand sanitizer
sunglasses
bouncy ball
purple pic for my hair
lighter
toe separtors in case I need to paint my toes
base coat nail polish
chapstick
lip gloss
blistex
eve's climax creme
tampons
powder
necklace
$1
calendar
earrings
ortho rubber bands
badge for work
Change

The most important thing would be my wallet/checkbook

I'm not sure if I should be more embarrased by the fact that I only have $1 in there or that I'm carrying around climax creme.

The smallest thing would probably be the rubber bands for Brady's head gear

Nope nothing illegal.

TAG HOOCHIES...all y'all need to play.

Football, bruises, and Baxter....

It was a fantastic weekend.

Can't complain about a thing. GO CATS.

I did however walk away with the ugliest, biggest bruise ever on my leg. Not really sure how it happened but it's there. Oh well.....hell of a tail-gate I suppose.

And just for kicks.......

Here's Baxter:

Friday Song

Waitin' On a Woman

Brad Paisley

Sittin' on a bench at West Town Mall

He sat down in his overalls and asked me''You waitin' on a woman?''

I nodded yeah and said, ''How 'bout you?''

He said, ''Son since nineteen fifty-two

I've beenWaitin' on a woman.

''When I picked her up for our first dateI told her I'd be there at eight

And she came down the stairs at eight-thirty

She said, ''I'm sorry that I took so long

Didn't like a thing that I tried on.

''But let me tell you son she sure looked pretty

Yeah, she'll take her time but I don't mind

Waitin' on a woman.

He said, ''The wedding took a year to plan

You talk about an anxious man, I was nervous

Waitin' on a woman.

''And then he nudged my arm like old men do

And said, ''I'll say this about the honeymoon, it was worth it

Waitin' on a woman.

''And I don't guess we've been anywhere

She hasn't made us late I swear

Sometimes she does it just 'cause she can do it

Boy it's just a fact of life

It'll be the same with your young wife

Might as well go on and get used to it

She'll take her time 'cause you don't mind

Waitin' on a woman.

I've read somewhere statistics show

The man's always the first to go

And that makes sense 'cause I know she won't be ready

So when it finally comes my time

And I get to the other sideI'll find myself a bench,

if they've got anyI hope she takes her time, 'cause I don't mind

Waitin' on a woman.

Honey, take your time, cause I don't mind

Waitin' on a woman...

Takin' It Back Thursday

Fate

I had this post up for maybe 15 minutes the other night when I decided to take it down and go with something else. Not because I didn’t want to say this but because I just couldn’t get it to read how I heard it in my head.

Damn voices in my head.

That’s a joke people……..laugh.

Errr……..moving on……….

Do you believe in fate?Do you believe that people are brought into your lives for certain reasons?Hmmmm, I think I do.I'm not always sure of the reason right off, it might take years for the reason to show itself but I do believe it. Otherwise we wouldn't be drawn to some and back away from others, right?Take blogs for example. I'm sure that each of you have stumbled across certain blogs that make you run for cover..........you have no desire to read them each day but then there are those that you find and you can't help but comment, to link, to send an email....to go back day after day to read them. WHY? .........is it because what the individuals are blogging could possibly be giving us insight into our own lives or is it that there is more than just a blog as a connection, does it go beyond the words being typed?

If it is something more than words on a computer screen, does that make it weird? Not in my world at least. I don’t see anything weird about forming some sort of relationship through online “meetings” Adults have to meet somewhere, right? Friendships can form through the most unusual circumstances. There's a reason why I read the blogs I do. I’ve chosen to include your lives in my world..........fate? I don't know. I know that I feel your heartaches, I feel your joy, I laugh with you and I have cried too............So there you go, not that it makes anymore sense from the first time I tried to write this but I tried. So is it fate that brought you into my world and I into yours?

Wednesday Ramblin's

This will be my first honest to goodness, every other weekend kid free, KJ has no responsibilities for almost 48 hours (other than to Baxter) free weekend. I won’t know what to do with myself.

I watched the 90210 marathon on Monday…..at least 7-8 hours of the 24. That was the best show. Loved me some Dylan.

Going back to the Ville on the 27th for an overnight shindig!!! WOO HOOO. I could seriously get used to this once a month b-day celebrations.

So I went to the local Mexican restaurant for lunch yesterday…got to see the hottie from the gym…….god he has awesome shoulders…..ya’ know…strong enough to be able to lift you up against…say a wall…..

Did y’all see the score of the UK game Sunday?

I was on my walk with Baxter last night and two squirrels were up in the tree playing. They make noise. They sounded exactly like Alvin and the Chipmunks.

Raccoons kept me and Baxter awake all night. They were outside the window going at it....squealing basically.

ONE MONTH UNTIL KEENELAND!!!!

Happy Humpin'

What's the Alternative?

If being alone is a choice, then what is the alternative?

Settling?

Y’all know my opinion on settling.

Did it once.

Never again will I do it.

So yes, being alone is a choice for some.

To quote my alter-ego, Charlotte (according to the legendary MX)….

“I’ve been dating since I was 16, where is he already?”

I got the DVR thing when I moved which means it comes with A WHOLE LOT more channels. Soap Opera channel is an all-time fav now.

Anywho, I sat there and watched these shows all weekend and these people my age are making out, going at it, loving the fact that they are in love or lust.

Who in reality has time for all that?

I’ve got two kids who each have their own life and social events. I have a house that requires upkeep, I have laundry, I have Baxter, I have a job, I have an ex who is not much help…yes I know all y’all can relate but my question is this…..

“Where in the world does a social life for myself fit in?”

It doesn’t.

Even if I found someone worthy to try and like, it wouldn’t be fair to them because of my obligations.
So in my world, for the moment….being alone is my choice
